OUR COMMUNITY
We invite you into our community initiatives and activities that embody our values of contribution, connection, and support. We believe in forging strong bonds among members, celebrating moments of joy, and standing together during life's challenges. Together, we create a nurturing environment where everyone can thrive and feel valued.

Chesed / Lovingkindness & Support
Our volunteer Chesed team makes sure that community members are taken care of and supported at moments of need: during illnesses and recovery, post-partum, and during shivas and periods of mourning. We are only one homemade soup away.
Send a Chesed card to support our community members who are going through life changing events.
Families with Young Children Circle
Welcome to our monthly lay-led Kabbalat Shabbat and potluck vegetarian dinner for families with young children, hosted at Romemu Brooklyn members' homes. These gatherings are always on Friday evenings when we do not meet as a larger community at Luria Academy. It's a great opportunity to build connections and welcome in Shabbat with others.
*Capacity is limited, and is first-come, first-served.
Community Choir
If you love to sing and would like to harmonize with other members of the Romemu Brooklyn community, you’re invited to join the Community Choir!
If you have professional-level skills on a musical instrument, you are invited to bring your talents to our musician circle.
Please email Mamie Kanfer Stewart to learn more and join in!

Volunteer Opportunities
We have plenty of committees that help us keep our community up and running: Membership Committee, Welcoming Committee, Chesed Committee, and Outreach Committee are just a few. Email Sela if you are interested in joining a committee!
